The Sir George Carteret
The Sir George Carteret sits at the heart of St Peter's Village, a proper local that has earned its place in the parish over many years. Named after Sir George Carteret himself, the Bailiff of Jersey, whose loyalty to Charles II during the Civil War made him one of the island's most renowned figures, this is a pub with genuine character and a story worth telling. Inside, the colourful mix-and-match interior sets the tone: lively, welcoming and entirely its own. There is a separate games room for sports and pool, a sun-drenched rear patio for finer evenings, and a kitchen that keeps things honest and good value. Come for a pint. Stay for the food. Bring the whole family.
